Anna, a sheltered 20-year-old stuck in the suburbs of Los Angeles, who learns the importance of diving off the deep end. After getting her heart broken by her long term boyfriend, she tries several ways of “getting over it” until she meets Lacey – a total breath of fresh air, someone who does exactly what she wants– who shifts the way Anna feels, looks at and experiences the world around her. It Was Like That is about new beginnings, and how one person can change the way you look at the world.
